"Listzomania" might be the better party track. It's just a touch more anthemic and that John Hughes (RIP, homeboy) mash-up literally makes me misty-eyed (and I love crying at parties? I don't know). But I tell you what.

Winter was hard this year. Cold and dark. And then Phoenix started streaming this track on their website. (When was it? February? March? Those dark weeks all run together). It was just the song on a loop and some darkly glowing numbers: 1-9-0-1. It had been so long since It's Never Been Like That (and it hadn't been like that since). And I just started listening to the song over and over and over, and when I looked up it felt like the snow had melted. My skin was clean. There was new air, a bigger space.

That's how I remember it, anyway.
