Kelis drops another banger. One day I'm going to do a big write up of her criminally underrated power jams. All I'll say now is, if you think Sleigh Bells is the shit, then you need to listen to this. 2004 and on a major label. Am I getting old enough to talk about how people were ahead of their time?

house piano: the sound of 2010
There's a pleasant disconnect between how great Diamond Rings' "Show Me Your Stuff" sounds and how crappy the video looks. You can bet that's intentional. A little M83, a little Bring It On. Twinkle, twinkle motherfuckas. (Meanwhile, if you YouTube search the video, you might turn up "Diamond Rings" by Fake Problems. It's a fun video, and does a good job of mitigating any sonic resemblance they might bear to, I don't know, Puddle of Mudd?).
